The 2010 FlyRadical S and M are based on the successful 2009 models, which were very popular with our team riders and customers. For 2010, we kept their outstanding performance, but eliminated the spray and increased the riding comfort. A lot of research and testing time was invested to combine performance and comfort into one design.

Flex/Scoop-Rocker:

We have developed and use a board “flex-under-load machine”. This machine is used to measure the scoop/rocker line in 3 Dimensions across the entire board. One of the main goals was to eliminate spray and to add comfort, without losing the light wind performance and pop. The Scoop-Rocker line of the FlyRadical automatically adjusts itself to under or overpowered conditions, extending the effective range of the board.

Asymmetric Shape:

The 2010 FlyRadical S and M have a slightly thinner tipshape and an even more asymmetric shape. Thinner Tips combined with more flex increase the control in overpowered conditions a lot. The wide center section of the FlyRadical S andM increases the surface area so you don’t sink down in lulls or after landing your newest wakestyle trick. The lightwind-optimized rocker line increases speed and upwind performance.
The heelside outline between the Pads is now completely straight for massive pop and maximum upwind performance.
The 2010 Flyboards are more ergonomic. Your toes have less strength, so the rounder and shorter toeside outline improves your control when riding toeside. The straighter, performance orientated heelside outline helps you ride upwind and gives you to edge harder.

The Construction:

The core of the FlyRadical S and M is made out of light, but super durable Paulownia wood. Since we integrated this core material in the FLYBOARDS, broken boards are a thing of the past.
The inserts are double reinforced and riding with wakeboard boots is also possible thanks to the 6 ” spacing which is compatible with most modern Boots.
Thin ABS rails protect the inner core against impacts and polyethylene tips increase flex in the tips. We use a 3 Dimensional construction to be able to add the flex to the sides of the tips instead of only the whole tip. The weight of the 2010 FlyRadical S and M has been slightly reduced, giving you an even more enjoyable session on and off the water. The grab rail on the toeside rail remains in the 2010 FlyRadical, making your board-off tricks even easier. There are now only 2 different types of screw; making assembly of the board much easier

The heelside is optimized for upwind performance, because its more difficult to edge with your toes, the toeside outline is rounder, giving you more control when riding and jumping toeside.
The thin flexible tips that are made out from polyethylene, they work like shock absorbers in choppy water and overpowered conditions.
The 3.5mm single concave gives the board more grip and stability. The concave runs out smoothly toward the tips. The tips and rails remain flat so the board doesn’t lose its playful character.
3 different stance options: Small stance (50.4cm), Normal stance (56.2cm) and Wide stance (61.2cm). The 6” hole-pattern fits most modern wakeboard-boots.
Top sheets with silkscreen printing inside prevent the graphics from being scratched off.
We use our self-developed “flex-under-load machine” to analyze the flex pattern of the board. This way we have found the optimum flex characteristics for our boards.

All FlyRadical Boards have a full wood core for great durability and to absorb vibrations. Due to our new construction the weight has been reduced.
