Mystic Kiteboarding Lightning 5/4mm Steamer Blue White 2012 Wetsuit

The most technologically advanced chest zip wetsuit from Mystic that uses their most flexible and comfortable isoprene neoprene. Chest zip prevents any water entry through the zip and neck plus it allows maximum freedom of movement as the whole back panel can stretch.

5mm neoprene throughout the body and legs for warmth and 4mm on the arms and flex zones for manoeuvrability. The 5mm sections are actually so stretchy themselves you won't realise you are in a 5/4 suit! 5x4 is a perfect all year round suit. It is built using of three types of neoprene in different areas for maximum comfort and warmth :

  • Tri span Isoprene - Super stretchy and extrememly light neoprene that can easily flex 100% (double its original size!) It is lined on both sides with a cross weave material that can also stretch 100% in any direction, the inner fleece lining is incredibly soft on your skin and the outer is very tough and durable.
  • Flame Skin - Single lined (S/L) neoprene which is used on the chest and back panels, it is wind proof and hydrophobic with heat reflective titanium between the cells. It is lined with a fleecy liner for superior warmth.
  • Dura span - Very durable and strong neoprene used on high wear areas such as the knees
  • Teddy Prene - Fleece lining throughout the suit giving a super plush feel and extra insulation

The 2012 Mystic Lightning wetsuit has fantastic construction that adds to the flexibility and warmth:

  • Glued and blind stitched seams - The stitching only goes through half of the neoprene to produce a completely water proof and smooth seam.
  • New panel layout - The panels are shaped and positioned with kitesurfers in mind for perfect flexibility and comfort. There are no seams in flex areas so there is no rubbing or seam failure.
  • Kinetic seam positioning - Seams near essential flex areas are positioned sideways of joints for maximum flexibility and durability.
  • Taped seam connections - Where any seam meets another there is an extra neoprene patch on the inside and silicon coating on the outside for extra durability and zero water penetration.
  • Seamless knee construction - Knee panels are pre curved and have no seams for increased flexibility, comfort and durability
  • Glued stitching ends - All threads are sewn back on themselves, tied off and then glued for maximum durability
  • High neck with glide skin - soft and smooth neoprene for minimal water entry and comfort
  • Water repellant finsh - minimal water on the suit which reduces heat loss through evaportation, also its super quick to dry
  • S Seams - Liquid seams giving a totally water tight seal for maximum warmth
  • Blind YKK chest zip - water tight zip covered with neoprene on both sides to reduce water and wind sneaking in for maximum warmth.
  • Final over head seal - final shoulder and neck layer pulled over the head then zipped and held shut with velcro fastener. Adjustable elastic shoulder tightener for watertight seal and full flexibility
  • Aquaflush leg panel - water permeable neoprene on the inside of the lower leg to allow any water that may have been forced up while riding to drain out quickly.
  • Velcro leg straps - Detachable straps to wrap tightly around your ankles to stop any water working its way up your legs
  • Super durable diamond knee pads - crossweave fibres on the the knee panels that are extremely durable and flexible
  • Non slip debossed cuffs - less water entry adding to the warmth
  • Deluxe Key pocket - very secure zipped pocket with elastic loop and watersproof bag to keep your key safe while riding
